About This Project

A medical clinic, who had been established for 30 years, was forced to change practice management software after the discontinuation of updates & support from Practix. This system had been used in the clinic for over a decade, & the changeover also required a server upgrade among other technical changes, as well as the migration of 30 years of patient data, 350+ medical templates, reminders, bookings, & more.

Best Practice was the new practice management software solution chosen. It took roughly 6 weeks for IT support provider & I to prepare the system & clinic for the changeover. As this clinic was open 7 days a week, we had no choice but to perform the changeover live, in business hours. I was then responsible for training staff & providers, & troubleshooting, on the fly. I worked in the clinic for two weeks full-time from the change over, & as needed thereafter.

While this system change was forced upon this client for the continuation of their business, it brought the clinic up to date with new technology, & gave an opportunity to archive old unused data & overhaul outdated processes. The transition was smooth & the team took to the new system with confidence.
