With a Kindle called ‘her best mate’ and borderline obsession with reading, Annette Densham was destined to have a career centred around delicious, wonderful words. From hiding in the school library as a 10 year old determined to fill more reading cards than her classmates (her record is three in one term) to meeting deadlines as a journalist, Annette’s innate curiosity has driven her love for storytelling. When she is not reading or writing stories, she’s working with Australian small businesses helping them tell their stories through media coverage and business awards.

But what you may not know from looking at Annette from the outside is when she started her business 10 years ago her inner voice used to beat her up, telling her she wasn’t good enough, others were better than her and that people would find out she sucked at what she did. Feeling like a fraud stuck to her like the smell of an apple left too long in a bag. For the first four years of her business she was plagued by comparisonitis and imposter syndrome. But she knew, as a PR specialist, not putting herself out there was not only hurting her business but denying people access to her specialised skills. She kick the F.R.A.U.D Factor to the kerb, embraced her genius and now is not afraid to tell the world she rocks at what she does.

Annette is going to share her story and how she has gone on to become a multi (yep, more than one) award winning business person with a kickass business and an attitude that doesn’t let her negative inner voice stop her from achieving.
